Q: Take us through your typical warm up. I'm not the best, hate warming up . I do a quick 15 min dynamic warm up and get into it . To many people spend half the night warming up and the other warming down. Your there to train not socialise Q Talk about mental concentration in training. When it comes to training I'm focused but the 10 min before i like to joke around with whoever is around. Q What kind of things should a young athlete do in training? Depends what they are training for, but I really do believe that from the age of about 15 they should be starting to get used to training 5 to 6 times a week to get the workload in . Ask questions of senior athletes and their coaches. See what they are doing in training. You could be doing something really wrong and not know it .To ask someone is the easiest thing to do! Q Anything else you can think of that might be useful to people training for your event? Train hard, sleep well and run fast!! Seriously don't leave your racing in training to many athletes run way to hard in training. Q Can you describe a training typical day?
