I just wanted to write a quick note on training in this weather and what other people must think. I tried to be normal it really only lasted about 8 months. In the end when i looked at what i was doing , Pub two nights a week pizza 3 or 4 nights a week . Gained a fair amount of weight as well. I said to hell with it and began training again couple of nights a week at first but by Christmass i was back up to 6 nights a week and fully hooked on competeing again.
Which Brings me to tonight ok. I'll set the secne it s raining so hard that lanes 1 and 2 are flooded workout is 5* 500m with 8min recovery . Keep the heart rate constant and watch the recovery under 120 BPM is ready to go again. To add insult to injury the temperature has dropped to 2 C .
As i finished the last rep and the workout went to plan. I was looking around and really wondering why do we do this . Its freezing cold its raining i'm pretty much as wet as you can get. There is no one around except my good friend Jerboy Timing the session. Its not for the fame or the constant attention.Funny thing is, its the best feeling in the world, would nt change it for a second and as a great runner once said
